Club Instructor, Garry Matthews started training in Karate in 1981 in Middlesbrough. When he moved to Berkshire area in 1991, the club was formed initially in Maidenhead. The Club has held classes in the area ever since. Our current classes are based in Windsor and Charvil, near Twyford. We are proud members of Higashi Karate Kai. Our Chief Instructor is one of the UK's most experienced and respected instructors, Shihan Peter Spanton 9th Dan.
Our Higashi style of karate is based around traditional Wado Ryu. We are a family friendly club. Parents can come along and train alongside their children.
We believe in making karate accessible to all. We aim to keep our costs as low as possible. Our club is a 'not for profit' organisation. Our instructors are unpaid volunteers and our charges help us to fund the club's running costs.
